Off Topic: I found a black hole on the Internet!

Last night after finishing up a long day of work, I had a random thought. I remembered when I was (maybe) 8 years old, and being fascinated by placing 1 mirror in front of another, and trying to see an infinite reflection.

Early this AM I thought I would re-produce this effect by taking a live feed from my iPhone and display it on an iPad next to the source of my feed. (see pictures). As I was following my ‘downward spiral’, the frames were getting smaller and smaller, as expected. . . But then it happened. I began to see what appeared to be a glowing red hole. I was staring right into it and felt a feeling I had never felt in my life. I think I almost had some sort of epileptic seizure! I’m chuckling to myself right now, but it’s really not a funny matter!

Picture01: Black Hole

Re-reading this post, I am so happy with my backup prowess as I have screenshots to PROVE what I saw, and I would love to hear others’ try to see this with their own eyes and tell ME what it is that I am seeing!!

Can someone please try to re-create this black hole and tell me what the heck it is that I am seeing?  I STILL feel funny from gazing into it!

Facebook 'ethical hacker' charged $200k in damages.

It's really quite unfortunate that a young man, such as featured in the attached video could be, somehow, misconstrued to be some sort of criminal. Not only does he work for white-hat security companies whose job it is to find vulnerabilities in Networks so that they can be fixed. No data was compromised, nor changed. On the other hand, Protocols in this rapidly evolving industry have been created to be followed.
confession / explanation for the 'less informed'.

Things to fit in YOUR Facebook 63,206 character status update!

Following a slew of other major updates, Facebook announced in November that its users would be able to sharestatus updates up to 63,206 characters long. That’s a little harder to visualize than Twitter’s 140-character limit.

So, we measured 10 other textual things to determine whether they made Facebook‘s character cut. Did you know you can fit an entire movie script in your Facebook status? Or that you can share multiple copies of the U.S. Constitution? Find out which iconic texts you can squeeze into Facebook’s 63,206-character limit below.

If you’re curious how Facebook arrived at this seemingly random number, Facebook engineer Bob Baldwinexplained to ZDnet, “I set the exact limit to something nerdy. Facebook … Face Boo K … hex(FACE) – K … 64206 – 1000 = 63206.” In other words, Baldwin calculated the number using the hexadecimal numeral system: The hexadecimal value of “FACE” is 64,206. Then, Baldwin subtracted “K,” or “kilo-” (the prefix for 1,000), to arrive at 63,206.
